FurMark – Graphics Card Benchmark Software
FurMark is a powerful fref graphics card stress test and OpenGL benchmark software that's based on fur renderings. FurMark is very intensive OpenGL benchmark that uses fur rendering algorithms to measure the performance of the graphics card. Fur rendering is especially adapted to overheat the GPU and that's why FurMark is also a perfect stability and stress test tool (also called GPU burner) for the graphics card.
FurMark graphics card benchmark tool offers benchmark mode or stability test mode for overclockers and allows to set benchmarking parameters based on time and frames. FurMark’s rendering algorithm is highly multipass (100 passes) and each pass (or layer) uses a GLSL (OpenGL Shading Language) vertex / pixel shader to make the hairs finer.
To increase the fur realism, FurMark’s uses two dynamic lights for self shadowing. The benchmark windows will offer several options allowing the user to tweak the rendering: fullscreen / windowed mode, window size, MSAA selection, duration. The benchmark also includes a GPU Burner mode (stability test). Before stress testing your graphics card, make sure you have the latest driver installed.
