Path Manager is a small open source utility that was designed to manage Windows environment variables. Windows environment variables are a set of dynamic named values that can affect the way running processes will behave on a computer. Windows give user the option to modify and set path of environment variables from My Computer, System Properties.
This Windows Environment Variable Manager enables you to manage Windows environment variables and fix invalid path entries as non-admin user in a clean easy to use interface. Path Manager can display all the environment variables, for each computer user, allowing you to view the invalid ones. To modify Environment Variable from Windows, Right-click My Computer and click Properties, then for :
- Windows 7 and Windows 8 – Click Advanced System Settings link in the left column.
In the System Properties window click the Environment Variables button. - Windows XP – In the System Properties window click the Environment Variables button.
In the Advanced section, click the Environment Variables button.
The Environment Variables option window will show environment variables and values (path to special folders) for User and System in separate section. You will be able to select each environment variables items and edit variable and path or delete them. You can also add custom User and System variable for your Windows system.
