Do It Again free simple macro or task automation software, that allows you to record a macro, then play it back to automate the actions of that macro. Do It Again can reduce your repetitive mouse and keyboard actions by easily programming your computer automatically perform that task for you, whenever you want. Record a task (or macro) then sit back and watch as your computer automates that task, clicking the mouse and pressing the keyboard by itself.

If there are some tasks that you do on your computer over and over, and you do it exactly the same way every time (such as backing up your pictures, checking web-based email for new messages, etc. using mouse clicks and keyboard keys), you can create a macro in Do It Again how to perform that task (by doing it once yourself to create the new task). Then you can run that task whenever you want and Do It Again will automatically click the buttons and press the keyboard keys (in exactly the same way as when you created the task), while you sit back and watch the task being performed on the screen. Here is the simple steps to record your action once and create a new macro:

1. Start by clicking the “Create a New Task” button.

2. Perform the desired task using your mouse and keyboard.

For example, start a program from the Start Menu and use it as you normally would. Click the mouse buttons (except the scroll wheel) and use the keyboard to perform the desired task. TIP: Try to avoid holding keys down for a long time. See the Common Questions section of this Help file for more tips and special information on creating a new task.

3. Press the SCROLL LOCK key (Default) on your keyboard when finished.

Pressing SCROLL LOCK has no function in most programs (with some rare exceptions, such as Excel). So pressing SCROLL LOCK will end the capturing process and will not be included as part of your task.

4. Give the new task a name and click OK.

That's it! The new task will appear in the Run a Task list at the bottom of the program. Start by double-clicking a task you want to run from the list of tasks. Do It Again will immediately start playing back the captured mouse and keyboard actions you performed when you created the task. The task will automatically stop when it plays back all the actions you performed when you created the task. If you want to stop it before then, press SCROLL LOCK (optional F12) on the keyboard to prematurely end the task. Note: Remember to run Do It Again program as Administrator.
