Fiddler is a powerful free web debugging utility which logs all HTTP(S) traffic between your computer and the Internet. Fiddler will give you a clear view how web browser interacts with your Website and network applications. You can inspect traffic, set breakpoints, and fiddle with incoming or outgoing data. Fiddler allows you to ensure the proper cookies, headers, and cache directives are transferred between the client and server.
Fiddler can capture sessions from any program that enables HTTP proxy or by default it hooks up to WinINet which is the HTTP stacked used by internet explorer and many Windows applications including Office (also available for Mac OS and Linux). If you load a page in a browser, Fiddler captures sessions from the browser and displays them in real-time on the Fiddler session panel. When you double click in a session on the session list, Fiddler opens the session inspector for that session on the right panel. Isolate performance bottlenecks with rules like “Flag any uncompressed responses larger than 25kb.”
