oCam is a free screen recording application that allows users to record desktop activity and capture screen shot easily and save them as video or image files. oCam supports dual-monitor screen recording so user can capture full Windows desktop area. Along with the desktop screen recording, oCam is also able to capture the sounds currently playing on the computer. During recording, the mouse cursor can be included in the output recording.
Screen Recording Size and Area
oCam Screen Recorder comes with very simple user interface. The application has two sections, one is the screen recording control panel and other is the screen recording area selector. User can select the recording screen size and area by resizing the recording area selector using the mouse or keyboard. oCam Screen Recorder control panel has the option to record in full screen mode, or using preset area size. While oCam is running it supports customizable hotkey to start, pause and stop a screen recording session.
Video Recording Options
By default oCam Screen Recorder video files are exported to AVI format, while the images are saved to PNG (also supports jpeg, gif, bmp). It also provides options to save video as Flash Video FLV, MP4, Quick Time MOV and other external are codec supported. From the oCam screen recorder’s Encoding Option, user can modify the video FPS (default 30 Frame Per Second), Bitrate, Keyframe rate and audio bitrate. The Timeline option allows user to set a recording time limit in minute and second. If Timeline option is enabled the oCam will automatically end of recording when the time is out.
