Free Skype Voice Changer
Skype Voice Changer is a free open source application that allows you to modify your voice by applying effects in real-time during a Skype conversation. While some people use Skype for business purposes, many others engage in personal communications. Some people may want to play a prank or have some fun in the process. Skype Voice Changer allows user to change their voices in real time.
Skype Voice Changer is developed in C# and its an open source project. It was developed to demonstrate how to use NAudio and Skype4COM to allow real-time effects processing of your voice during a Skype conversation. It works on Windows with the desktop version of Skype and allows user to customize their voice output by adjusting voice Pitch cents, semitones, octaves, overlap, wet mix and dry mix.
Setting Voice Changer with Skype
When you launch Skype Voice Changer for the first time, it will try to detect and communicate with Skype, and it displays an error message if Skype is not running. You must authorize the program from within Skype for the two programs to communicate, but you need to do this only once.
In Skype Voice Changer, you need to select an effect that will determine how your voice changes. You can adjust its parameters during conversations and apply the new changes in real time. You can create an effect chain by selecting different effects and choosing their order to create the desired effect. Your voice will be modified using any effects you have selected. Note that you will not hear the effects yourself. To test out the effects, try making a call to the "Skype Echo Service", which will play back what you have spoken into the microphone.
